That’s Some Slip of the Tongue

Image result for obama face the nation

In an interview taped last Friday and aired on Sunday mornings’s Face the Nation, the President tried to take on Donald Trump’s plans for securing our nation from Muslim terrorist attacks.

Philadelphia (CNN)President Barack Obama had strong words for Donald Trump’s rhetoric over Muslims in the wake of terrorist attacks, saying — using another acronym for ISIS — that Trump “is ultimately helping do ISIL’s work for us.”

Obama’s comments came in an interview [aired Sunday] with CBS’ John Dickerson on “Face the Nation.” The day before the Democratic National Convention’s kickoff, the President made clear he’s eager to attack Trump over foreign policy.

But no one actually believes that doing close vetting of would-be immigrants would help Islamic State. Or that calling for a pause in the mass importation of members of an organization which is responsible for thousands of terrorist mass murders world-wide is somehow enhancing the reputation of Islam.

No, not even Barack Obama is stupid enough to believe that thwarting the plans of vicious prophet-addled savages is helping their cause, or “doing their work.”

But let’s see that quote again:

“I think the kinds of rhetoric that we’ve heard too often, from Mr. Trump and others, is ultimately helping do ISIL’s work for us.”

Wait: “. . . is ultimately helping do ISIL’s work for us “?

What you mean us, Hoss?

I’m sure that was just a slip of the tongue, and in no way means that Mr. Obama is doing ISIS’s work. That would be crazy. Not to mention treason.

That would mean announcing in an address in Cairo that you consider it your “responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”

That would mean purging the DHS database of all references to Muslim terrorist groups, an Administration practice detailed by  former Department of Homeland Security officer Philip Haney in his book See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad. As he says

“I can’t explain to you the ideology or the worldview of this administration that makes them so adamant to protect Islam from harm by addressing it in its true nature.”
That would mean assisting the Muslim Brotherhood, which even some Arab countries have designated a terrorist organization, in its attempts to infiltrate and occupy positions of power within Western democracies to advance the establishment of a world-wide Caliphate.
That would mean supporting an Islamist leader in Turkey, a formerly secular country of 80 million and a NATO member, in his moves to suppress all opposition to the establishment of an Islamist State.
That would mean a disastrous cut and run from Iraq. Destabilizing Libya. Supporting jihadi forces seeking to overthrow Assad in Syria.
That would mean having an Iranian-born Communist as your closest adviser. And   enabling a nuclear Iran.
That would mean alienating and turning against Israel, our true ally in the Middle East, while supplying hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars annually to the terrorists who are its avowed enemies. That would mean excusing the crimes of savage murderers of civilians, including children,  based on their religion and their pretensions to a fictional history and nationality.
That would mean feigning bafflement about the motives of Islamic jihadis murdering American citizens.
It would mean sending your national security advisor to lie about Benghazi on the Sunday talk shows and deflect blame from Islamist murderers.
That would mean allying yourself with highly suspect Muslim activists, and inviting them to the White House as often as possible.
The list goes on, and on, and on, and on . . . but we all get the idea.
So I’m sure Mr. Obama’s statement was just a slip of the tongue.
