As reported by the Clarion Project, Nihad Awad, national director of the Hamas-linked terrorist support group CAIR, has issued the following instructions to the human population following the jihadi terrorist attack in Nice:
It is Nihad Awad’s job to try to convince non-Muslims that a Muslim terrorist firing a semi-automatic rifle into a crowd while screaming “Allahu Akbar” is a victim of islamophobia, and must therefore never be considered a Muslim, let alone a jihadist.
It’s a tough job, what with having to keep a straight face while saying patently ludicrous things, but it’s what Nihad Awad does: That’s his jihad.
For some background:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has a history of Islamist extremism including links to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The U.S. Justice Department labeled CAIR an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a Hamas-financing trial and listed CAIR as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity.
In addition, CAIR was officially designated a terrorist organization on by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 15, 2014.
Nihad Awad declared his personal support for Hamas in 1994.
The, um . . .rationale behind this very important hashtag is that Islamic terrorists are all going to join ISIS and commit terrorist acts if people in the West continue to call Islamic terrorists jihadists. If only we will all stop calling murderous Muslim terrorist savages “jihadists”, ISIS will give up trying to recruit Muslims to the cause of a worldwide Caliphate, fold up their tents, and go start IT companies.
And never be mean to anyone again.
While not willing to go along with the Hamas-CAIR game plan, I nevertheless suggest the following compromise: Instead of calling Muslim terrorists “jihadists”, we should just call them “jihadis.” Or if we want to get fancy, we could call them mujahedin.
But one thing we will always be able to call them with complete accuracy, is Muslims.
